Picotin : baby mittens

Sometimes, we realize that we need baby mittens asap because fall is coming faster than we though. That’s why I created this easy and fast to knit pattern.

Work 10 (12) rounds in stockinette stitch (knit all stitches).

  2. Knit all stitches
  3. *Knit 1, ssk, knit 6 (8), k2tog, knit 1* x2

Cut yarn and thread through remaining stitches. Weave in threads.

Note: when you cast-on the second mitten, you can leave a  60 (75) cm long thread. It will be used to join both mittens together, so you don’t lose them.

Embroidery

Work an embroidery using the french knot technique. The knots don’t have to be perfectly spread! Once the knots are done, I attached the thread to many spots on the wrong side to be sure the little fingers don’t get stock in it.
